Whether you’re getting ready for a local community tournament or stepping into a national event, this workshop will give you the confidence and clarity you need to walk in feeling prepared, not panicked.
If you’re feeling anxious about the rules, the timing, the pace, or the dreaded moment of being called “dead”, you’re not alone — and this session is designed exactly for you.
In this one‑session 3 hour workshop, we’ll cover everything you need to know, including:
How tournament rules differ from casual play
Understanding scoring, managing your scorecard, and the seat rotations
What “dead” really means, and how to avoid it
Timing, pace, and how to stay calm under the clock
Etiquette, expectations, and how to feel confident at the table
You’ll walk away with a clear understanding of how tournaments work, what to expect, and how to play your best game under pressure.
If you’re ready to compete — or simply want to feel prepared — this class is for you.
A men‑only intro class designed for brand‑new players who want a clear, confidence‑building start to American Mahjong. You’ll learn the fundamentals, understand the card, and start playing with ease. Four-week session.

Pick your perfect playtime:
11:00 AM - 4:00 PM: lunch included (and plenty of laughs)
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: snacks, drinks, and all the Mahj magic you can handle
To keep the tables flowing smoothly, please register at least 24 hours in advance and let us know your Mahjong experience level so we can seat you with players who match your play style.
A quick heads‑up: If fewer than 4 players register, the session may be cancelled. If that happens, you’ll get a friendly notification by 9:00 PM the night before your scheduled date.
